Voluntary Work

Surrey Docks Farm
Rotherhithe SE16 5ET

Surrey Docks Farm is a community farm which engages local people and vulnerable groups in a variety of projects around livestock and growing.
The farm has been operating since 1975 and moved to its current site thirty-five years ago.
I have volunteered as part of the livestock team since 2019.
The farm relies on donations to supplement the income from selling our produce, so COVID-related closure has hit hard. You can learn more about the farm and donate to the cause through their website.

Crisis works to end homelessness, whilst also helping individuals deal with the current realities of homelessness. In the final weeks of December, Crisis establishes Christmas centres providing advice, shelter and hot food, creating safe spaces and seasonal cheer. We peel a lot of potatoes.

The Field
New Cross Gate

Established in 2014, the Field is an independent, co-operatively run social and educational project, that is not-for-profit and run by its members, effecting local political action, radical education, mutual care, solidarity, shared resources and collective service provision.
I have recently become involved in delivering food parcels to vulnerable individuals. The Field is always open to new members and groups.
